Having restricted oxygen supply is a very serious issue and resolving enlarged tonsils using a natural slow approach may not be in the best interest of your child.
Please always check with your doctor if you suspect that your child’s tonsils are enlarged.
If your child experiences any of these symptoms please have your child’s pediatrician check for enlarged tonsils or adenoids.
I remember one night walking by my kid’s room after they had fallen asleep and hearing loud snoring. I realized it was my daughter. I was shocked and I was hoping she was just sick and that the snoring would go away on its own.
Sadly, after a few weeks, I realized the snoring was not going away on its own.
I began noticing how much my daughter was struggling; she would pause in her breathing and need to wake a little to be able to take a restorative breath at times. I was becoming worried and knew that I needed to get help soon.
I began doing research and read some testimonials on a website belonging to a naturopathic doctor who successfully resolved enlarged tonsils using homeopathic remedies. I knew I had to give this a try.
I reached out to a trusted homeopath.* The homeopath worked closely with us and with some trial and error, found a remedy that was right for my daughter.
*If you are not familiar with homeopathy, Homeopathy is a medical system based on the belief that the body can heal itself. Those who practice it use tiny amounts of natural substances, like plants and minerals. These stimulate the healing process.*
During the summer my daughter seems to be less affected by stressors and food sensitivities so the process of healing felt less urgent. I pressed pause to continue the homeopathic remedy for the summer.
By the Fall my daughter began to struggle badly again with her breathing during sleep. We decided to pursue a more aggressive route to reducing inflammation by seeing a naturopath who also used homeopathy.
After an hour-long initial appointment, the naturopath prescribed a few herbal remedies and asked us to avoid foods that had been irritating as well as (especially) her intolerance while she healed, and re-prescribed the homeopathic remedy that was prescribed by our homeopath.
That started our 6-month long journey of daily doses of herbal remedies, managing diet, and regular check-ups with the ND.
Some of the progress moved two steps forward and one step back but progress continued and by the end of the 6 month period snoring was mostly gone! Snoring is now completely gone (please reference the photos below)!
As you can tell, this process was anything but linear, quick or easy. But if you are looking for a process to ultimately reduce inflammation in your child’s body and tonsils-its possible! And you can do it just like we did!
If this route sounds like something you want to pursue here is what I have found to be very helpful in our journey:
